The festival is full of great activities for children to enjoy:
- Ruby Bridges-Hall reading and book signing
- Readings from Nikkolas Smith, Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, Ashley Davis and April Foxx Davis, Nancy Churnin, and CazaTeatro
- Free books for children pre-K through elementary school. Teachers must present ID
- Magic show featuring Magic Mr. Nick
- Free treats provided by Ben & Jerry's and Butterific Bakery & Cafe
- Les Passees KIDS ON THE BLOCK Puppeteers
- African drumming with Ekpe Abioto
- Children's March led by Dr. Melissa Collin's 2nd Graders from John P. Freeman Optional School
- Food trucks and music!
