Yes. After 8pm or during designated special events, patrons must be 21 years of age or older or be accompanied their legal parent or guardian. After 11pm, all patrons must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid state issued ID, military ID or passport.
For everyone’s safety, knives, guns and other weapons are not allowed on Beale Street. When security screening points are in operation, all guests will be screened and bags may be searched upon entry.
In an effort to create the safest possible experience for our visitors to Beale Street, we will be utilizing the $5 Beale Street Security Fee on select Friday, Saturday and holiday nights. The security fee is used to help reduce crowd sizes and create the best possible visitor experience on Beale. The charge begins at 9:00 pm on nights of operation and is $5 per person. Payment of the security fee can be made with cash or debit/credit cards.
Beale Street is within walking distance of ten hotels in downtown Memphis. The hotels within closest proximity are: The Westin, The Hampton Inn & Suites Beale Street, The Peabody Hotel & The DoubleTree.
